Frijoles is a savory traditional Columbian recipe, which includes meat, beans and palatable spices.

Ingredients:
1 pound of minced meat
2 cups of red kidney beans
1 can of peeled tomatoes
1 half of a bunch of minced basil
1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
1 chopped green capsicum
4 cloves of garlic
2 bay leaves
2 teaspoons cumin
2 onions
Directions:
1. Drain a large can of tomatoes and pour the liquid into a pot, along with kidney beans and beef stock. Simmer the beans covered over a low heat. Cook for 3 hours, until tender.
2. Finely chop 2 onions and 4 garlic cloves. Then, stir fry in an oiled pan. Add the minced meat and fry until browned. Add the tomatoes, a diced green capsicum, bay leaves, cumin, half a bunch of basil, cayenne pepper, pepper and salt. Pour the contents of the frying pan into the beans and simmer slowly till well blended.
