Taste this delightful Butter Scotch Pie and it will leave you wanting more
3 tablespoons of caramel syrup
2 cups of milk
4 tablespoons of butter
6 tablespoons of flour
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1/2 teaspoons of salt
1/3 cup of boiling water
1/2 cup of sugar
Blend the butter and flour together slowly.
Mix the sugar and eggs, and add salt. Add to the butter/flour mixture. Steam the milk with 3 teaspoons of caramel syrup and add to the mixture.
Cook for 15 minutes in a boiling pot, while continually stirring until thickened.
Caramalize 1/2 cup of sugar, add 1/3 cups of boiling water, boil ½ cup of carmelized sugar and 1/3 cup of boiling water until thickened. Pour into a precooked pie shell. Let cool and serve.
