Hryn Recipe
Ingredients:
10 large beets
1 blt hot horseradish
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup white vinegar
pinch salt
pinch pepper
Directions:
- Boil and peel beets; grate on ricer.
- Strain hot horseradish; and add to
beets, mix in immediately.
- Mix together the white sugar, white vinegar,
pinches of salt and pepper.
- Bring this mixture to a boil, then stir into
horseradish and beets.
- Strain, reserve the juice. Put the strained mixture
into bottles, and add juice if it looks too dry.
- Give 10 minute hot water
bath to seal the top
