Hryn Recipe

Ingredients:

10 large beets
1 blt hot horseradish
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup white vinegar
pinch salt
pinch pepper

Directions:

1. Boil and peel beets; grate on ricer.
   
2. Strain hot horseradish; and add to beets, mix in immediately.
   
3. Mix together the white sugar, white vinegar, pinches of salt and pepper.
   
4. Bring this mixture to a boil, then stir into horseradish and beets.
   
5. Strain, reserve the juice. Put the strained mixture into bottles, and add juice if it looks too dry.
   
6. Give 10 minute hot water bath to seal the top
